Application updates

Cantero Madera checks its fixed production update feed only after the product is licensed and admitted. An available update downloads in the background.

Install a downloaded update

When the shared header or macOS title bar shows Restart to update or Update, open the update dialog and review the summary. Select the install action when you are ready for the app to restart.

The app does not intentionally abort active automations for an update. Active work is allowed to finish, queued work is checked for safe handoff, and managed Chrome sessions close before restart.

If work is active, the update can show a message such as Update after 2 active runs. Leave the app open until those runs finish or cancel the pending restart from the update dialog if that action is available.

Check manually

On macOS, use the application menu’s Check for Updates command. There is no user-editable update feed, prerelease channel, forced downgrade, or alternate update server.

Caution

The first updater-capable release may require a manually installed package. Follow instructions from the official Cantero Madera support channel rather than downloading an installer from an unverified link.
